Bastet's Bunnies
2005 Convention
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Convention has come and gone and it's all been a big blurr of emotions and activity.  I have no idea of what I was thinking when I decided to take 63 bunnies with and coop 55 of them between two breeds.  Some were Val's too so that meant her AFL's were cooped over in the Youth Area.  At least our Lionheads were all the the same area!
    Emotions ran wild.  Lollie took BOSV and won 2nd place out of 90 in wool.  In Fuzzies, I placed eight bunnies in the top ten of their classes and Val's bunny  Pierre' placed 2nd in Youth for SJB.  I was exceptionally proud of the fact that out of the nine, six were home growns.  Three of the Srs. were replacement stock I'd purchased after the fire.  Overall, I was exceptionally proud that I was even able to attend let alone place as high in as many classes as Val and I did.
Tort Lionheads passed but Siamese Sables, REWs, Chestnuts and Blacks failed.  I do not own a single Tort Lionhead ... but then again, just a little over three years ago, Cumulus had just had my first Lionhead litter.  I'll just remind myself that the colors I do have are compatible with Tort and do my best to proceed forward from here.  Heck, we're at least two years away from being a recognized breed anyway.  Two years will go by in a blink of an eye.
I did not get to take as many pictures as I would've liked to ... but attached is what I did get to take along with the placements.  The pictures are arranged in a half hazard manner to reflect the insanity of the week.  Hope you enjoy them.
