Bastet's Bunnies
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Lovebirds are breeding like rabbits!
Currently two little ones still available from the clutch hatched in late Jan.
$ 75 per pair
Pick up preferred but I will consider delivering to a local show IF the weather is nice.
These pictures are from the first clutch hatched at the end of Nov.
She's sitting on more eggs ... again.
Dad on the left and Mom on the right.
See how Mom carries bedding to the box?
Too cute!
Photo Shoot A ~ 11/23/08
Left top: So tiny and not all hatched yet
Middle top:  Three little fuzzy ones
Right Top: The largest hatched so far
Left: The smallest hatched so far
Mom can lay an egg every day to every other day so the babies could be as many as sixteen days apart in this clutch!
Photo Shoot B ~ 11/30/08
Left: the smallest
Middle: three little sweeties
Right: the largest - look at how well filled this one's crop is
Photo Shoot C
Look at the difference in sizes!
Six hatched but one died right away.  The next littlest is shown bottom right and although
his crop looks well filled, I just don't think he could compete with the bigger ones.
He passed a few days after this picture was taken.
Photo Shoot D
They're getting cuter by the day!  They really liked their heads being rubbed at this age.
Their feathers are coming in and the oldest is beginning to perch!
Photo Shoot E ~ 01/06/09
So big!  One day they're all wobbling around and burying themselves in a towel and the next, they're flying!  I had to start clipping their wings for safety reasons.  They're confined to the bathroom for cuddle time because of the other critters in the house!
Bottom Right: In the box with Mom in Jan with six new eggs.  Update: four now available!
It's the holidays and I have a living room full of guests.  We're opening presents and one says to me, Dawn ... look at what your birds are doing!  Now granted, most of us are bunny people so eveyone laughed.
Timing is everything!
